Q: Are Food Guard Products Dishwasher Safe?

A: Yes. All Food Guard products are dishwasher safe! Feel free to save yourself some time and throw them in the dishwasher after use! Or, if you want to wash them by hand, do so the same as you would with any other plate, bowl or container!

Q: How Do I Correctly Use The Food Guard Lid?

A: Great question! It is super easy to use, but can be a bit confusing on the first try. Take a look at our "How To Use" tab to see detailed instructions and a how to video. You'll be an expert in no time!

Q: Can I Stack Multiple Food Guard Lid's On Top Of Each Other?

A: Yes. When the Food Guard lid is correctly used, it will create a airtight seal and so also create a semi-hard surface on the top. So if you are using a bowl or tall container, you can easily stack Food Guard lids in your fridge or freezer!

Q: How Many Times Can I Re-Use Food Guard Products? How Long Do They Last?

A: Our tests reveal they can be used for a lifetime and will not degrade no matter how many wash cycles, oven uses or microwave heatings!

Q: Are Food Guard Products Harmful and Full of Bad Chemicals?

A: No. All Food Guard products are 100% BPA, POSH Free, Non-Toxic, FDA Approved Food Grade silicone. Healthier than eating off a plate!

Q: How Far Can the Food Guard Lid Stretch?

A: The Food Guard Lid can stretch 2 - 3 times it's normal size. However we do not recommend using it on a plate, bowl or container larger than 36cm or 14 Inches as this may add excess stress to the Food Guard lid which may make it more susceptible to tears and breaking.

Q: My Food Guard Lid ripped or won't work on my Container? Why did this happen and Why won't it work for me?

A: While the Food Guard Lid is a great gadget to have in the kitchen, it still shares the same physics and physical properties as any other silicone or plastic based item. All our claims are 100% true and tested and while it is amazing, it's not made of magic. Treat the Food Guard Lid as a stronger, re-usable, oven proof version of cling wrap. Keep in mind that it may tear if over stretched, poked with a sharp object or prodded at while stretched. While the Food Guard will actually work on more containers, plates, bowls and materials than traditional cling warp, it is not made of magic beans. It will have issues working an airtight seal on containers that are wet or greasy on the outside, much the same as cling wrap does. So just give the containers a wipe with a clean dry towel and you should be ready to go!
